The Bianconeri dropped points in a 2-2 draw against Atalanta, slipping to third in the Serie A standings. An AC Milan victory against Empoli saw the Rossoneri leapfrog their rivals, with fellow U.S. international Christian Pulisic getting on the scoresheet in their 1-0 victory.
Sunday was a day for the USMNT in Italy, though, with McKennie recording two assists in a four-minute span to help his side salvage something from a difficult afternoon.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
De Bruyne has 11 assists in all competitions for Manchester City in England, with the Belgian crafting his trade from the attacking midfield for Pep Guardiola's side. McKennie, meanwhile, now trails the 32-year-old by just two assists, while also occupying a deeper role in the Juventus midfield in comparison. The American does, however, sit two ahead of AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez – who also has seven assists in all competitions.
