Negotiations between United and Fulham are still ongoing but it's been a frustrating transfer saga for all involved. The Red Devils have rejected three offers for McTominay, despite their need for sales, and are holding out for a package worth £30 million ($38m), according to the .

The arrivals of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro have left United needing to sell in order to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules and pursue other transfers. They want to make five more sales but have so far struggled to shift those available, including Jadon Sancho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro and Victor Lindelof. And a deal for McTominay isn't likely at present – the report adds that Fulham haven't gotten close to United's asking price.
