Chelsea are set to add to their burgeoning ranks of young players by signing Aston Villa starlet Omari Kellyman, according to a report.

According to , Chelsea are close to agreeing on a deal in the region of £19 million ($24m/€22m) for the 18-year-old Villa prospect. Finer details have not been agreed but a deal is expected to be reached between the two Premier League clubs.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Villa and Chelsea have been in negotiations for the vast majority of the early stages of the transfer window, with Conor Gallagher and Jhon Duran touted as possible movers between the two sides.
Left-back Ian Maatsen is expected to confirm his move to Villa Park in the coming days – despite currently being away at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands – with Kellyman going the opposite way to Stamford Bridge.

Elsewhere, they have also been linked with Hoffenheim ace Maximilian Beier and Barcelona's Marc Guiu.
