ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
With the Three Lions having gone 58 years without getting their hands on a trophy, while never tasting European Championship glory in the men’s game, wild celebrations will be sparked if Gareth Southgate’s side are able to prevail against Spain.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Nobody in that squad is getting ahead of themselves, with the toughest of tests awaiting against Lamine Yamal and Co in Berlin. Certain players are, however, daring to dream of what could happen if they bring a long wait for major honours to a close.

WHAT ENGLAND STARS SAID
Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden has told of his plans, having vowed to get his team-mates to copy his bleached blonde look back in 2021: “I’ll have to speak to the lads to see what they say, but I’m going to push for it. Spay painting your hair, whatever colour they choose. Just something funky for a team photo. I feel it would go down well.”
Brentford striker Ivan Toney added when asked what his tattoo will look like: “I’m not too sure, but it will be a good one. I’ll keep it to myself until the end.”
City defender Walker said: “I’ll let talkSPORT listeners decide what I have to do if England win the European Championship. No boundaries. All boundaries are off!”

WHAT NEXT?
Spain are looking to ensure that there is no cause for celebration inside the England camp, with more heartache inflicted on the Three Lions. They will have their own plans drawn up for what happens if a continental crown can be captured.
